Downloading the latest version of Paint with a background removal tool no longer requires signing up for Windows 11’s Insider Program.

Windows 11’s Paint app now offers the ability to remove the background from any image. This feature is similar to Adobe’s paid Photoshop and its background removal tool, but Microsoft provides this tool for free.

There are many apps and websites, both free and paid, that allow you to remove backgrounds from images. With these tools, you can obtain a clean photo that only features the desired object, especially when you accidentally download a picture with a background that doesn’t match the primary object. Microsoft is now introducing the same functionality to its Paint app.

According to Microsoft officials, users may want to remove backgrounds from images for various personal and professional reasons.

The new feature in Paint is convenient when you want to eliminate unwanted background objects from a picture or if you have downloaded PNGs that aren’t genuinely transparent. The background removal tool can assist in such cases.
