Hey there, I’ve got some cool news about Google Chrome! Have you heard of the new update called Chrome 115? It’s rolling out soon and will automatically install on your computer, but you can actually get it right now by checking for updates!
Now, this update doesn’t come with a bunch of new features, but there is one cool thing. It supports something called the Topics API, which is going to replace those annoying cross-site tracking cookies. It’s a big step forward in protecting your privacy online!
Oh, and here’s something even cooler. With the new update, Chrome now has a fancy design material called Mica. It basically gives Chrome a fresh look!
You know how Windows 11 added Mica to some apps? Well, now it’s in Chrome too! This makes the title bar in Chrome look really cool. You can even see a picture of it in this article.
Microsoft, the company behind Windows 11, says that adding Mica to apps like Chrome can actually make you more productive. And the best part? It won’t slow down your computer at all!
If you want to try out the Mica feature in Chrome, here’s what you need to do:
1. Update Chrome to version 115 or download it.
2. Type “chrome://flags” in the address bar and press enter.
3. Search for “Windows 11 Mica titlebar” in the flags menu.
4. Turn on the “Windows 11 Mica titlebar” option and restart Chrome.
Once you’ve done that, you’ll see the cool Mica effect in Chrome’s tab strip and title bar. And when you hover over your open tabs, you’ll even notice a new animation effect!
Just keep in mind that the Mica feature is only available on Windows 11 version 22H2 and above. But who knows, maybe Google will bring it to other versions in the future!
So there you have it, the exciting news about Chrome 115 and its awesome Mica design. Get ready to have the coolest browser around!
