First Option: Using a Generic Key to Upgrade
This applies if you have a Windows 7 and wanting to upgrade to Windows 10, or a Windows 10 upgrading to Windows 11. In order to upgrade to the newer Windows, you can’t simple enter a product key during the installation. Use a generic key instead :

After the installation, use a product key from our store to activate the copy. If you encounter any error, refer to the error code located here.
Second Option: Boot the Installer Directly (BIOS Mode)
If you still can’t upgrade from older Windows to Windows 10 by simply running the installer. You must boot the installer directly. Read this to learn how to create a Windows 10 installer using a USB flash drive.
Alternative method: (Works for some PCs)
You can use our product key to upgrade from older version of Windows to the smashing new and exciting Windows 10 Pro. Here’s how to do it:
- Download Windows Update Assistant
- Run the installer that you have downloaded from Microsoft
- Choose ‘Upgrade this PC’ to Windows 10
