Microsoft has recently released the Windows 11 Insider build 23565 for testers on the Dev Channel. This build includes a new icon for Windows Copilot in the taskbar. Copilot is a major feature in the Windows 11 Fall Update, but it is still in preview and not yet available in Europe.

You can see the new Copilot icon in the image provided. Additionally, Microsoft has acknowledged an issue causing Copilot to disappear from the taskbar for some Insiders using the Home edition of Windows 11 Insider builds and is working on a fix.

In today’s build 23565, Microsoft is also conducting a test to make Windows Spotlight the default background option. Similar to the Windows 11 lock screen, Windows Spotlight offers a rotating selection of visually appealing wallpapers. However, this experiment will only impact select Insiders using one of the default desktop backgrounds.

Furthermore, the Windows 11 Insider build 23565 includes additional fixes for the modernized File Explorer. A bug that caused the app to hang for OneDrive users has been addressed, and the Gallery view will now display a loading state instead of an empty view when loading numerous images.

If you wish to perform a clean install of this build, ISOs can be downloaded from Microsoft’s website. As a celebration of the 9-year anniversary of the Windows Insider Program this month, Microsoft is also offering two special desktop backgrounds in light and dark themes.

Stay tuned for more updates and enhancements as the Windows 11 development progresses.
