Microsoft launched the November Patch Tuesday updates for Windows 11 versions 22H2 and 23H2, with version 23H2 having been released two weeks prior. The Patch Tuesday update (KB5032190) for Windows 11 version 22H2 includes all the new features that Microsoft introduced in a previous optional update. This includes Copilot in Windows, the enhanced volume mixer in Quick settings, the modernized File Explorer, the Never Combine mode for the taskbar, and the new Windows Backup app.

The “Moment 4” update, which is part of Windows 11 version 23H2, incorporates more than 150 new features that are enabled by default. Additionally, Windows 11 version 23H2 replaces the “Chat” app with Microsoft Teams and adds a new “system” label for Windows 11 system components in the Start Menu.

Moving forward, Windows 11 versions 23H2 and 22H2 will share the same servicing channel. The KB5032190 update will install build 22631.2715 for Windows 11 version 23H2 and the same build for version 22H2. The update does not introduce any new features beyond what Microsoft had already detailed.

For Windows 10 users, the KB5032189 update is available for versions 22H2 and 21H2, but it does not include new features. There are reports suggesting that Microsoft may bring its new Copilot AI assistant to Windows 10 and that further announcements may be made at the Ignite conference.
