Microsoft has unleashed two fresh Windows 11 preview builds for Insiders on the Canary and Dev channels. The Canary build 25997 offers the capability to switch off the Phone Link feature in the Bluetooth section of the Settings app. It will also showcase Teams contacts in the Windows share window for individuals signed in with a Microsoft Entra ID on their device.

For those experiencing “0x80004005” errors while attempting to install recent Canary builds, Microsoft states that this issue has been resolved. Furthermore, Microsoft has dealt with an issue causing some Insiders to encounter more bugchecks than usual after installing last weekโ€™s Canary build 25992.

For Dev channel Insiders, build 23590 brings about a couple of enhancements for Narrator. Testers can now sample previews for 10 natural voices (Chinese, Spanish, Spanish (Mexico), Japanese, English, French, Portuguese, English (India), German, and Korean) before acquiring the full voice model. In addition, Microsoft has enhanced the image consumption experience in Narrator by introducing a new keyboard shortcut (G or Shift + G) to navigate forward or backward between images in Scan mode. When the focus is on an image, Insiders can also leverage the Narrator key + CTRL + D key combination to receive a comprehensive description of that image. In Word, Narrator is set to provide announcements for the presence of draft comments, resolved comments, or accessibility suggestions.

The Dev build 23590 also includes a number of bug fixes for the new version of File Explorer. Microsoft has addressed an issue causing the app to crash on launch for some testers, and it is expected to no longer crash when entering paths into the address bar.
