Microsoft has released new Windows 11 Insider builds on a Friday. The latest build, 25936, is now available for Insiders on the Dev Channel, while Dev Channel testers can download build 23531.

In terms of changes, there are not many in these two new builds. Let’s start with what’s new for the Canary Channel:

– Post-OOBE experiences: A small group of Insiders will see three new options after completing the out-of-box experience. Choosing ‘Development Intent’ within the ‘Let’s Customize Your Experience’ page during OOBE will automatically install the Dev Home app.
– Dynamic lighting: If you have devices with RGB lights, you can now choose a custom color to light up your devices.
– Task Manager: The app’s settings page has been refreshed to match the design language of Windows 11.

Moving on to the Dev Channel, the build 23531 includes two changes. Firstly, a search flyout will now appear when you hover your mouse over the search box in the taskbar, and this can be disabled in taskbar settings. Additionally, Windows system components will now use the default browser to open links for EU Insiders. This change applies to things like the Widgets board and Windows search, which previously redirected users to Microsoft Edge by default. This change is particularly significant for EU users.

In addition to these builds, Microsoft also released two new builds for Beta Channel testers. Build 22631.2262 introduces the new Settings homepage and the Windows Backup app to Beta Channel testers.

Overall, these updates bring some minor improvements and enhancements to the Windows 11 experience for Insiders across different channels.
