Microsoft recently released the Windows 11 Insider build 22635.3066 for Beta Channel testers. This new build expands testing for the latest USB standard, USB 80Gbps, which was first introduced on the Dev Channel last week.

As previously explained by the Windows Insider team, USB 80Gbps support (or USB4 version 2.0) is currently restricted to new PCs powered by the Intel Core 14th Gen HX-series mobile CPUs Intel announced at CES 2024. Itโ€™s not clear yet when support for this new standard will expand to more devices.

In addition, todayโ€™s build 22635.3066 includes fixes that will gradually roll out to Beta Channel testers who turn on the โ€œGet the latest updates when theyโ€™re availableโ€ toggle in Windows Update. Microsoft fixed a bug causing the Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel (tabtip.exe) to crash when trying to input text. Another bug causing Voice Access to crash when setting up new languages has also been addressed.

Yesterday, Microsoft also released the Windows 11 build 23619 for Insiders on the Dev Channel. The biggest change is probably the ability to receive instant notifications whenever a new photo or screenshot is captured on your Android phone. More details about this new feature can be found in Paulโ€™s post.
