Some keys require you to activate Microsoft Office by phone rather than the regular online activation. Why? Because these keys have been used in the past, but were not deactivated before becoming available again. Hence, they cost cheaper than the retail keys.

How many times can you use the same key?

One key is valid for a single installation only. You can’t use the same key on multiple PCs.

Let’s get started. Here’s how to activate office 2019 by phone:

1. Download Office 2019 Professional Plus ISO

Skip this step if you have already installed Microsoft Office.

OPTION 1 (RECOMMENDED) : Go to setup.office.com. Sign in to your Microsoft account, or register if you haven’t got one. Enter your Office Product Key to download Office 2019 Pro Plus directly from Microsoft.

Here are the direct download links for Office 2019. They are all (3.67GB) in download size, so we would not recommend to download them if you are using mobile data. Just make sure you are downloading the correct version corresponding to your activation key.

2. Install Office 2019 and Enter the Product Key

Make sure you are connected to the internet. Enter your product key, if you don’t see any error messages, That’s great! Your Office is activated.

If you have purchased a phone activation key, most likely, you will see an error (Office has been activated to many times etc.), don’t worry, simply continue with phone activation.

3. Choose Activate by Phone

Select ‘I want to activate the software by telephone’, if you still seeing any error messages, ignore them and proceed.

4. Activate Office (No, You Don’t Really Need a Phone)

OPTION 1 (WITHOUT PHONE CALL) : Go to this activation website. (Generate the Confirmation ID. It is pretty self explanatory, but if you are having trouble, please ask us in the Live Chat)

OPTION 2 (PHONE CALL) : Select your country and call the toll-free number.
