Microsoft has just rolled out new Windows 11 Insider builds for the Dev and Beta Channels. The Dev Channel build 23620 contains only minor bug fixes, while the Beta build 22635.3130 brings improvements for the Snaps Layouts feature and a new settings experience for the Widgets board.
Snap Layouts suggestions are gradually being introduced to Beta Channel testers who have activated the “Get the latest updates when they’re available” toggle in Windows Update. These new suggestions in the layout box will help users quickly snap multiple app windows together, as demonstrated in the image below.
In December, Beta Channel testers also had the opportunity to test a new settings experience for Widgets, along with new ways to customize the widgets board. Microsoft temporarily disabled the rollout of this feature to address issues, but the Windows Insider team announced today that it’s once again rolling it out gradually on the Beta Channel.
For those on the Beta Channel who wish to revert to the production version of Windows 11, this is now possible with the latest Beta Channel flight. Simply unenroll your device from the Beta Channel in Windows Update, and Windows 11 version 23H2 will be automatically installed.
It’s important to note that unenrolling a device from flighting in the Beta Channel will result in the loss of some features that are not yet available for retail customers. However, your personal data will remain intact, as explained by the Windows Insider team.
