Microsoft has recently released build 22635.2552 of Windows 11 Insider on the Beta channel. This build includes two changes that will gradually be rolled out to Insiders who have enabled the “get the latest updates as they are available” toggle in Windows Update. Additionally, all Beta Channel Insiders who install this build will receive bug fixes.
The first change in this build is the relocation of System Components from the Settings > Apps > Installed Apps page to a new page under Settings > System > System Components. The second change affects the Xbox Game Bar, which is now listed as “Game Bar” in Settings > Gaming.
Today’s build, 22635.2552, also addresses various issues with File Explorer. One of these issues involved the app becoming unresponsive when interacting with OneDrive files. Furthermore, Microsoft resolved an issue where touchscreens did not function properly when using multiple displays.
Microsoft has recently introduced a new servicing model for the Beta channel, consolidating releases into a single build instead of two. To access the latest features, Beta Channel testers must enable the Windows Update toggle. This will allow them to receive gradually rolled-out features. However, if the toggle is kept off, new features will be deployed to devices once Microsoft deems them ready.
Yesterday, Microsoft released build 25982 of Windows 11 Insider on the Canary Channel. This build marks the start of the Copilot rollout for Windows in that Channel. Additionally, the AI assistant is available in the optional Fall Update for Windows 11, which Microsoft made available to all users running Windows 11 version 22H2 on September 26th.
