Microsoft has recently introduced support for Bing Chat Enterprise in the Windows Copilot Preview. This new feature allows eligible commercial customers to access Bing Chat Enterprise directly from the Windows Copilot panel. To access this feature, users must be on the Windows Insider Dev Channel, although some Insiders on the Beta Channel may also have access to it.

Bing Chat Enterprise is already available for Microsoft 365 commercial customers on bing.com and the Edge sidebar. However, IT admins must enable this feature. The Enterprise version of Bing Chat offers enhanced commercial data protection. It disables chat history and ensures that Microsoft does not retain prompts and responses. Additionally, the company does not use these prompts and responses to train its language models.

According to the Windows Insider team, the experience for users will be very similar to the existing Bing Chat experience. The branding will be changed to reflect Bing Chat Enterprise, and there will be a reminder with each prompt that personal and corporate data is protected.

With the Windows Copilot Preview, Windows 11 users will have access to a new AI assistant that provides direct access to Bing Chat and the Microsoft 365 Copilot from the desktop. In the future, Windows Copilot will also be able to integrate with third-party services through plugins, similar to how ChatGPT already supports it.

The Windows Copilot feature is expected to be available to all Windows 11 users with the 23H2 update, which is currently being tested with Insiders on the Beta Channel. Microsoft will be hosting an event on September 22 to discuss its latest AI innovations, where we may learn more about Windows Copilot.
